Soldier ShockThey give me a rifle, and say:  “Go fight like a man.”  I march into my private nightmare  with military discipline   
My boots sink in mud; they’re filled with shit and blood  I shoot like I’m told  My intestines spill into my hands  They stitch me up and say:  “Send him back again.”   
I shake, I cry, I scream:  “I’m human not a machine!”  They take away my rifle and say:  “Send this coward home.”   
This war is not over  It stalks me relentlessly

Death at the CabaretNothing is more ironic than death at a cabaret  Drinking to our health can be the exception  Your rise and fall is vaudeville meets three act play  With all the torture, bloodlust and deception   
I knew I was dead as soon as I took the stage  My lace garter creeping up my thigh couldn’t save me  I enjoyed performing your cruel identity as a joke  Before you dragged me out back and killed me   
I always suspected vampires came to the cabaret  My blood on your tongue was confirmation  How ironic that in killing me you gave me new life  Murderer will be murdered by the victim Death at the Cabaret

NANOWRIMO!!!!

under a friend's influence, ive enetered NaNoWriMo!!
its National Novel Writing Month this November and its a contest to write a 50 000 word novel from Nov 1 to Nov 30. its a personal challenge. i feel liberated by signing up. and i will probably realise how insane 50 000 words is around the middle mark but i cant wait to exercise my creative side.here is my little profile [link]

ill update as i go. ive got my story brewing. 1 day to go an donly 30 days t do it ohmigosh!

in other news, ive finished uni for 2008! only 3 more years to go
i've recently watched The Duchess and thought it was brilliant and moving
i'm hopefully going to the Sydney Theatre Company Open Day this saturday, might see Cate Blanchett whose the company director. theatre is exciting
